Ring Katarina at 01 4907651 or email her at katarina@griffinsolicitors.ie for a no obligation quotation setting out all the costs involved, a timeline and a checklist.
Katarina will talk you through the process from beginning to end. She will email you a quotation within one working day. Included in the quotation will be our own ten point guide to “Buying or Selling a House Made Easy”.
The process normally takes approximately eight weeks from when a deposit is placed on a property to complete.
Conveyancing is the legal process by which the legal ownership of a property is transferred from one person to another (i.e. buying or selling a property), or a mortgage is taken out on a property. The transactions covered include purchases, sales, transfers of property into joint names following marriage, and transfers between spouses following separation.
A property sale involves a full review of the ownership and planning of the property, drafting Contracts for sale, filling out a detailed questionnaire about the property, replying to title and planning queries from the buyers solicitors, completion, paying off any mortgage and transfer of the sale monies.
A property purchase involves a review of the Contract for sale, reading all the paperwork called title and planning: asking written questions concerning the contract, title and planning; signing contracts, certifying the title to the bank, agreeing a closing date, obtaining money from the bank, completing (i.e. get the key), and registration of the property in the Land Registry.
